David says:
"I am not sure if our most interesting hand from last night is suitable for your pages. However it was interesting to me.
West opened 1♦, my partner sitting North bid 'Stop 3♦', and had a bit of an aghast look on his face on seeing the 1♦ already on the table. East asked what this meant and I said I was baffled, but that it must be forcing. East doubled, with her 5 - 5 major hand and opening values (later she said the 3♦ should mean he has a solid suit outside but wants a stop in Diamonds from partner). I passed, and West asked about the 3♦ bid, suggesting that North had just missed the opening bid. I agreed this was likely. He bid 4♣, pass from North and 4♠ (natural but West took as cue bid) from East.
After Blackwood West signed off in 6♣, which I bemusedly passed even though all I had was K Q x x x x in clubs. Four off.
This is the first time a partner had jumped in the opposition's suit, so I found it to be quite interesting. Unfortunately it led to a 'Train Wreck'."
