Posted 22/02/2009: Presentation of the Mary Rogers Trophy

The trophy was presented to the winners David Clark & Simon Moorman on club night 19th February. For the full results of the 2009 event click here, and for a list of previous winners click here.

Posted 05/02/2009: Membership Renewal 2009/10

Membership renewal for the year starting 1st April 2009 is now invited. New members are also welcome. There is NO CHANGE to charges for members compared with the past two years - i.e., annual fee is £15, weekly table money £2.00 (ordinary club nights), £2.50 (Club championship events), and £5.00 (Simultaneous Pairs). Higher charges apply to non-members. NOTE: assuming that the EBU's new Pay-to-Play scheme comes into effect from April 2010, a price revision from 2010/11 will be unavoidable

Congratulations to the Mountnessing Team that included Roger Tattersfield (captain), Jill Tattersfield, Alan Green, Peter Oake, John Sutcliffe, Dennis Valtisiaris and Chris Megahey for winning the County Teams of Eight Invitational Championship - The Fletcher Trophy - on October 26th. My special thanks to Dennis, who stepped in as a last minute substitute.

Congratulations to club members Val Mollison, Judith Moorman, Paul Mollison, & Simon Moorman who won the Swiss Teams championship at the recent Felixtowe Congress. Club members Elaine & Alan Green and Frank Morrison also featured prominently.

At club night on August 21st 2008, Tim Connett & Steve Ensor were presented with the Summer Trophy - which they won on August 4th. Full results for the Summer Trophy are available at this link

Posted 18/07/2008: Kidney Research Simultaneous Pairs

I am pleased to announce that the club has made a contribution of over £250 to Kidney Research from our heat of the Simultaneous Pairs on July 3rd. Well done and thank you to all those members and non-members who took part. Steve Ensor & Tim Connett finished in 10th place in the national rankings. The full results are available here.
