A psyche was recorded at the club on June 5th; as a new facility for members I have begun to back-load the club's psyche book onto this website - see the new service available through the members' area.Posted 20/06/2008: "Unauthorised Information"
Club member Mike Graham has kindly provided an interesting article about 'Unauthorised Information' - it is available via a link on the Director's page.Posted 20/06/2008: Simultaneous pairs successes!
The finalised national standings for the Simultaneous Pairs event held on May 15th are now available. Club members Andrea Sharp and Dennis Hicks finished 21st nationally, and Ann Morgan and Alan Bremerman were not far behind.Posted 25/05/2008: Essex County Events, 2007/8
Many congratulations to club members Jill and Roger Tattersfield who were respectively presented with the Ladies and Men's Eve Goblets Trophies at the recent ESSEX C.B.A. AGM as the most successful players overall in the Essex County Events in 2007/8. A summary of all the club's members' successes in 2007/8 can be found here. [The list for 2006/7 can still be found here.]Posted 23/05/2008: Membership Renewal 2008/9
Almost all the club's members have renewed their membership for 2008/9. However, if you have not yet done so, it is still not too late. New members are also welcome. There is NO CHANGE to charges for members compared with 2007/8 - i.e., annual fee is £15, weekly table money £2.00 (ordinary club nights), £2.50 (Club championship events), and £5.00 (Simultaneous Pairs). Higher charges apply to non-members.Posted 23/05/2008: Simultaneous Pairs, April 10th 2008
The final results for the Sim Pairs held on April 10th have now arrived, and LP certificates are available at the club. Congratulations to Ray Clarke & Ray Cornell who win pens as the most successful pair from Mountnessing in the national rankings.Posted 21/05/2008: Plea for help...
If you live close to Mountnessing, have a small amount of free time, and you would like to give a little to the local Community, then there is an opportunity for you to help the 'Friends of Mountnessing Windmill'.Posted 21/05/2008: Trophy Presentations

Posted 01/05/2008: MEMBERS' AREA Usernames and passwords
I have now completed the process of issuing usernames and passwords to all renewed members who have given me an e-mail address, to enable access to the Members' area, through which the new on-line 'find a partner' scheme now operates, plus other features. If you find the computer-generated password to be difficult to remember then you can ask me to change it to something of your own choosing, 8 - 12 characters, a mixture of upper or lower case letters, plus numbers 0-9. If you have an e-mail address that you have not previously given to me, or if your e-mail address has recently changed, please let me know via alaric@mountnessingbridgeclub.org.uk. 'Find a partner' will still operate by phone or e-mail, but the new on-line service will function 24/7 even if I am away from home.On a completely different note, do you think you could have played that hand better? If so, see the 'SuitPlay' card play analysis program now available through the Contents Page.
